Abstract :
The THF-soluble bis(methoxyethyl)zirconocene dihydride 3 displayed novel reactivity patterns and was used to reductively couple alkenes, dienes, and enynes. A plausible mechanism involves the formation of a 14-electron zirconium(II) and zirconacyclopentane species.
