Radical cyclizations of bromo ketals from decalin homoallylic and bis-homoallylic alcohols

The radical cyclizations of bromo ketals derived from the Birch-alkylation products of α-tetralones are described. The carboncarbon bond formation proceeds in a regio- and stereoselective way. The intra- and intermolecular trapping behavior was also explored.
