Abstract :
The chemical reaction of piperitenone oxide, the main compound of the Mentha suaveolens essential oil, with hydroxylamine and hydrazine was studied. We synthesised two new heterocyclic compounds which were identified by the usual spectral methods (IR, 1H, 13C NMR and MS).
