  • Abstract
    An intramolecular interaction between a thiocarbonyl group and a pyridinium nucleus was found in nicotinium salt 1 having a 1,3-thiazolidine-2-thione moiety, which was elucidated by comparing the 1H NMR chemical shifts and the X-ray structure with those of standards 2 and 3. Moreover, an intermolecular interaction of the CS⋯Py+ was also found in crystalline state.
