Abstract :
A new diethyl-substituted organic donor, Et2BEDT-TTP, has been synthesized. The radical-cation salt, (Et2BEDT-TTP)2HgI3 has a unique crystal structure where the stereochemical cis- and trans-isomers are arranged regularly to make tetramerized columns.
