Abstract :
A versatile solid-phase synthesis of acyl biarylsulfonamides is reported. The synthesis starts with sulfonylation of a solid bound aminomethyl linker group with arylsulfonyl chloride, followed by a Suzuki coupling to construct the biphenyl scaffold. Acylation of the sulfonamide and the proper choice of linker allows the acylsulfonamide to be cleaved as the product.
