Abstract :
Catalytic Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime in ionic liquids using P2O5 or Eatonʹs reagent has been investigated. 1-n-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (bmiPF6) gives superior results to those noted by earlier workers.
