  • Abstract
    ε-Trimethylsilyloxy-α-diazo-β-ketophosphonates were prepared in two steps from γ-lactones. After exposure to catalytic rhodium(II) in refluxing toluene and further aqueous treatment, they gave rise to α-phosphono-δ-lactones in moderate to good yields.
