A new base-mediated photocyclization to 1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3-(4H)-benzothiazines via 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiones

The photocyclization of substituted 1,2,4-triazole-3-thiones, under base-mediated conditions, afforded 1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3-(4H)-benzothiazines along with the desulfurization product.
