Abstract :
(E)- and (Z)-fluoro-olefin analogues of potent dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitors were synthesized. A Wadsworth–Horner–Emmons reaction, followed by amide formation and reduction of the amide were used for the construction of the α-fluoro-α,β-unsaturated amine functionality.
