Abstract :
Pd/C-catalyzed Heck reaction was conducted in ionic liquid 1-octanyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([OMIm]BF4) in absence of phosphine ligand, which was promoted by microwave irradiation. The ionic liquid containing catalyst system can be used five times with a little loss of activity.
