Abstract :
A variety of epoxides undergo rapid ring opening with ammonium thiocyanate in the presence of 10 mol % Selectfluor™ in acetonitrile at room temperature to afford the corresponding β-hydroxy thiocyanates in excellent yields with high regioselectivity.
