Abstract :
The oxidative cyclization–methoxycarbonylation of propargylic acetates 1 in the presence of (CH3CN)2PdCl2/p-benzoquinone in methanol under carbon monoxide atmosphere (balloon) afforded (E)-cyclic-orthoesters 5 in moderate yields.
