Abstract :
Treatment of N-acylamino-2-thiophenyl derivatives with N-chlorosuccinimide (2.0 equiv.) followed by SnCl4 (0.1–1.0 equiv.) provides a direct synthesis of 5-thiophenyloxazoles.
