Abstract :
The stereoselective total synthesis of (+)-laurallene is described. The required key oxocene skeleton possessing trans-orientated alkyl substituents at the α,α′-positions was stereoselectively constructed via the cyclization of the corresponding hydroxy epoxide promoted by Eu(fod)3.
