Abstract :
The synthesis of alkylsulfanyldifluoro-acetate and ketones by the Halex reaction is described. The remarkable reactivity of thiodifluoroacetate derivatives opened rapid access for the preparation of useful building blocks such as gem-difluoroketones and amides.
