Hydrodynamic approach to ion transfer reactions across an ITIES

The friction force on a fixed sphere in a hydrodynamic flow composed of two immiscible fluids of different viscosities has been calculated using a finite element simulation approach. Analogy to an ion transfer reaction is discussed.
