An application of reactor theory principles to the confinement of electrochemically generated unstable radical ions

The containment of unstable radical ions, the product of a rapid electrode reaction, is described by means of various flow regimes and electrode-potential forms. The analysis is illustrated by the decomposition of the nitro-radical anion produced in the presence of three different endobiotics, using kinetic data of Squella and coworkers [J. Electroanal. Chem. 381 (1995) 215].
