Novel electrochemical approach to the determination of the partition coefficient of neutral weak bases

A novel electrochemical approach to the determination of the partition coefficient of neutral weak bases is presented. This determination is based on the measurement of the voltammetric current for the charge transfer across the oil∣water interface. Digital simulations and experimental results for monoprotic and polyprotic species have validated this procedure.
