Abstract :
By using a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) as a recognition element, construction of a high selective voltammetric sensor for lamotrigine (LTG) was performed. A LTG selective MIP and a non-imprinted polymer (NIP) were synthesized and then incorporated in the carbon paste (CP) electrodes. The sensor was applied for LTG determination using differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) method. The MIP–CP electrode showed very high recognition ability in comparison to NIP–CPE. Some parameters affecting the sensor response were optimized and then the calibration curve was plotted. Two dynamic linear ranges of 0.8–25 and 25–400 nM were obtained. The detection limit of the sensor was calculated as 0.21 nM. This sensor was used successfully for LTG determination in pharmaceutical preparations.
