The local inelastic electron–polar optical phonon interaction in mercury telluride

A model of inelastic electron scattering on polar optical phonons is proposed in which the scattering probability does not depend on macroscopic parameter, crystal permittivity. The given model yields good agreement between the theory and experiment in temperature range 77–300 K.
