Abstract :
Pump and probe analysis allows a time resolved access to cluster dynamics. We consider here the case of metal clusters in which the dominating plasmon response, which frequency strongly reflects cluster shape, allows to access quite directly ionic dynamics. We discuss various pump and probe scenarios allowing to analyze radial vibrations, quadrupole vibrations and fission dynamics.
