Abstract :
Monte Carlo simulation with hyper-parallel tempering, the histogram reweighting and finite-size scaling techniques are used to explore the critical behavior of Lennard-Jones fluids of dimers in the two-dimensional system. The dimers are built of two distinct segments. The critical parameters for selected types of dimers are estimated. We analyze the influence of the bond length and differences in the chemical nature of segments on the critical parameters. The results can be used to predict the critical parameters of dimers whose molecular parameters are known.
