Abstract
In this paper, the efficiency of isotropization method is studied in the context of micromechanical models based on Hill’s incremental approach for description of nonlinear composite materials. The example of composite considered is composed of an elastoplastic matrix with associated and non-associated Drucker–Prager criterion and elastic inclusions. Three different isotropization methods are studied and compared with the reference solution given by finite element method. It is shown that the efficiency of isotropization method is strongly dependent on the plastic flow rule of local constitutive model.
