Abstract
In this work we report the results of numerical modeling of field-effect in granular metal films. The main requirements for this effect to be well pronounced at room temperature are formulated. The two types of real granular structures are tested by means of detailed investigations of temperature dependencies of their conductivity. The conclusion is made that ordered thin Cu granular films fabricated by laser electrodispersion technique are very attractive for the applications in field-effect devices.
