Abstract :
An experimental study was carried out to determine the fluidization behavior of group A glass bead beds under supercritical conditions. The fluidization state was followed experimentally by pressure drop measurements. Particle fluidization was obtained with carbon dioxide conditions far from the critical point, whereas near this point gas channeling should occur. Particle aggregation can be attributed to increased interparticle forces under these conditions.
