Kinetics of the anodic reaction at the AgBr(s)/Pt electrode

The title reaction was studied using galvanostatic transients, cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy. The results are explained on the basis of a mechanism involving discharge of bromide ions from the solid electrolyte followed by recombination as a rate-determining step.
