Abstract :
A needle-like anatase TiO2 has been prepared through a topological reaction from one-dimensional titanium glycolate precursor Ti(OCH2CH2O)2. The new needle-like titanium glycolate precursor Ti(OCH2CH2O)2 was crystallized by solvothermal technique. Upon calcination at appropriate temperatures, the titanium glycolate precursor lost it organic part and topologically changed to anatase TiO2, which mainly kept the original shape of the precursor. The as-prepared anatase TiO2 with large specific surface area exhibited high photocatalysis activity.
