  • Abstract
    A general direct perturbation theory for the perturbed DNLS equation is developed. The completeness relation is given by the Greenʹs function method similar to that used for the linear equations. The effect of damping on a single soliton is calculated as an example, and the result is good with the squared spectrum parameter κ.
