Abstract :
It is shown that the long-term strength of samples of the metal of steam-boiler elements and steamA pipes after their lengthy operation under conditions of creep cannot be taken to be a measure of their operating reliability. This characteristic is not suitable for assessing the residual life of the metal as well.
