Calculation of the Capacity of Screw Conveyors for Transporting Slag at a Thermal Power Station

A method for calculating the capacity of screw conveyors is proposed. A mathematical model of the motion of disperse material in the screw channels under conditions of slipping at the boundary and its numerical realization are presented. The results of studies are shown in the form of graphical relationships between the capacity of the conveyor and the different geometrical and design parameters of the screw conveyors.
