Biogas Technologies and the Solution to Problems of Biomass and the Greenhouse Effect in Russia

The experience acquired by Russia in the past few years shows that biogas technologies, when comprehensively assessed from the economic standpoint with account taken of the requirements of the market in the country, are becoming highly profitable. Therefore, they will not only exert a substantial influence on the development of farm and other kinds of production: as being a part of the global process of circulation of carbon on Earth, they will also play quite an important role in regulating the balance of atmospheric CO2 and in reducing the greenhouse effect.
