Abstract :
The mechanism of a breakthrough of organic acids in the ion exchangers of makeup demineralizing and condensate polishing units is formulated and supported by bench experiments and full-scale investigations. It is shown that sulfonated coal used in the water demineralizing scheme can be an additional source of organic substances in the steam-water cycle at thermal power stations.
