The Retrofit of the Water-Supply, the Blowdown, and the Phosphate-Treatment Systems of the BKZ 320-140 Boilers at the Kashira District Power Station

A method for retrofitting the water-supply, the blowdown, and the phosphate-treatment systems of drum boilers is described, and one possible scheme for realizing this method is presented. The results of measurements of the water-chemistry parameters at the BKZ 320-140 boilers of the Kashira district power station before and after their retrofit are given. It is shown that half of the water volume from the side where the feedwater is supplied became considerably clearer after the boilers were changed over to the operate in accordance with the retrofit scheme.
