Problems of Burning Brown Coals and Lignites When Using Pulverizer Fans and Ways for Solving Them

An analysis is made of the main difficulties encountered in burning brown coals and lignites in furnaces with solid slag disposal using the experience in creating and mastering the large boilers of power units of up to 800 MW in capacity. The causes and ways for solving problems of stable combustion, slagging of the furnace, economically efficient burning, monitoring of NOx emissions, and of the reliability and controllability of coal pulverization systems with pulverizer fans are considered.
