Abstract
The effect of using expander turbine-generator (ETG) units as part of the thermal scheme of a cogeneration power station is considered. The effect of integrating these units into the thermal scheme on the technical and economic performance indicators of both the cogeneration power station, as a whole, and its main equipment is determined. It is shown that, under the described conditions, integrating the ETG units into the thermal scheme of the cogeneration power station enables us to save about 1% of fuel; about 60% of these savings is the result of improving the operating performance of the main equipment at the cogeneration power station.
