Emissions of Nitrogen Oxides from Anthropogenic Sources: Impact on the Atmosphere and the Climate. Their History and a Forecast until 2100

An appraisal and a forecast for nitrogen oxide emissions from burning fuel and from other kinds of economic activities of people in the period from 1950 to 2100 are presented. The prospects for environmental control technologies in the power industry are considered. Future changes in the concentration of tropospheric ozone determined by emissions of NOx into the atmosphere and its contribution to the global greenhouse effect are calculated.
