Abstract :
The doping effects of Cu ions on the elastic properties of the LiNbO3 crystal in the hypersonic range of frequencies were studied by Brillouin scattering. The concentration of Cu was 0.05 mol%. Comparison with pure samples showed a relative decrease in frequencies falling in the range of 4–11%. Measurements were performed in different crystallographic directions.
