Abstract
Domain structure of Mg-doped near stoichiometric LiNbO3 crystal grown by top seed solution growth (TSSG) method with K2O as flux was investigated. Acid etching results showed that the crystal exhibited a regional single domain structure and dimension of the central single domain region increased slowly with the crystal length and finally reached to that of the seed. The central single domain region with negative direction of polarization faced the melt, while at the edge single domain region, the positive direction of polarization faced the melt. It is thought that the regional single domain structure is the co-effect of K2O flux and MgO doping.
