Abstract :
We have measured the reversible magnetization of Bi1.84Pb0.34Sr1.91Ca2.03Cu3.06O10+δ (Bi-2223) and HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ (Hg-1223), having three CuO2 planes as a function of the temperature and magnetic field. By employing the Hao–Clem model, superconducting parameters, such as the penetration depth and the coherence length, are obtained. From the results, we confirmed that the effective carrier mass for Hg-1223 is about three-times larger than that for Bi-2223 due to the higher carrier density in Hg-1223.
