Abstract :
Lutein is one of the major carotenoids in most fruits and vegetables. The effect of lutein on the lifespan of Drosophila melanogaster was investigated. Results revealed that 0.1 mg lutein/ml diet could prolong their mean lifespan from 49.0 to 54.6 days. T
