Abstract
The results of the kinetic studies of premicellar and micellar association processes in aqueous solutions of a widely-used surface-active substance—sodium decylsulfonate are presented in this work. The low-frequency spectra of various states: premicellar or ‘precritical’, ‘critical’ close to the critical micellization concentrations (CMC) very much and in the field of the concentrations of the substance above CMC have been studied with the methods of modern acoustic experiment within the broad temperature and frequency ranges (T=30–60°C and f=60–6000 kHz). The behaviour of relaxation frequency has shown the possibility of critical description of the micellization process. The activation energy for micellization (Ea=18.318 kJ mol−1) and the constant of dissociations reaction (k=1–2×10−7 s−1) have been determined.
