Abstract :
Effects of surfactants under various concentrations on the activity of invertase and SOD of soybean leaf in vivo and in vitro have been studied. The results show that surfactants tested can influence the activity of invertase and SOD in vitro to different degrees. When C12NM3Br or SDS is lower than 1.0 and 0.1 mmol l−1, respectively, the activity of invertase in vitro will be increased gradually, and decreased if their concentration exceeded this critical value. SFE will activate enzymes when their concentration is over 1.0 mmol l−1, in particular 10 mmol l−1 of SFE can increase the relative activity by 63%. The field experiments show that SFE can elevate significantly the activity of invertase and SOD in vivo.
