Abstract :
We review experimental results which show the occurrence of a new class of photo-effect so called as photo-induced phase transition (PIPT). We focus on the photo-induced cooperative charge transfer, spin state transition and photo-carrier induced ferromagnetic ordering, and demonstrate the role of cooperative electron–electron and/or spin–lattice interactions in the observed exotic photo-induced effects.
