  • Abstract
A number of dynamic effects is considered which influence significantly the measurements with the maximum bubble pressure method especially at high bubble formation rates. The most important effects to be considered in an accurate data interpretation are the liquid penetration in the capillary after a bubble separation, pressure equilibration along the capillary (aperiodic or oscillatory), inertia and non-stationarity of gas flow, gas compressibility, effect of inertia of liquid leading to meniscus oscillations at the very beginning of the bubble growth, and the pressure restoration in the gas reservoir which can cause the formation of bubble series. The role and contribution of dynamic effects varies with the particular experimental conditions. The influence of the dynamic effects in the maximum bubble pressure experiments can be minimised by choosing suitable experimental conditions according to the properties of studied solution and the aims of the experiment.
