Raman spectroscopy of NO2N2O4 in the gas phase using near-infrared excitation

Fourier transform (FT) Raman techniques have been employed to collect gas-phase Raman spectra from the N2O4 dimer with near-infrared excitation at 1.0641 μm. The spectra present several points of interest concerning trace NOx species, the physical chemistry of dimer dissociation to monomeric NO2, and the nature of the scattering at this excitation wavelength.
