Abstract :
A model of the long-range (>2 nm) tunneling transfer of electrons from donor to acceptor in solids by mobile charge carriers (structural defects, impurity-dissolved or adsorbed molecules) is suggested. This model may be applied to the description of the catalysis of redox reactions with electron transfer in the bulk or at the surface of solids.
