Abstract :
Mixtures of NO and H2 diluted with argon, containing 4%H2 + 2%NO and 4%H2 + 1%NO, were studied by reflected shock wave techniques in the temperature range 2800–3570 K using OH absorption at 310 nm. The rate coefficient for H + NO → OH + N obtained by fitting OH absorption profiles is k1 = 7.1 × 1014exp(− 28500/T) cm3 mol−1 s−1.
