Abstract :
Large features in Raman spectra of partially deuterated arsenate, Tl(DxH(1−x))2AsO4 were used as test of phase transitions. The T (K) versus x phase diagram is not progressive with the D-ratio. Intermediate x values, 0.3–0.7, lead to a succession of three phase transitions, contrary to the pure isotope compounds. That behaviour is attributed to the very weak dynamical participation of Tl+ cation and then primarily to geometric isotope effects.
