Abstract :
Rotating frame 1H spin-lattice relaxation measurements in partially deuterated and non-deuterated glycerol in the super-cooled liquid to glass transition region are presented and compared with 2H results. Unlike proton spin-lattice relaxation in a laboratory Zeeman field, the data are shown to be sensitive to the crossover from quasi-ergodic to non-ergodic behavior near the calorimetric glass transition temperature.
